Soooooo...it's been a ridiculously long time since I've posted. Six months!!! I took a break through the holidays that got just a little carried away. Truth be told I find myself busier and busier as my kiddos get older. I really have to consciously set aside time for me or it just doesn't happen. This blog was a big part of my "me time", and I'm making a conscious decision to take this time back.
I wish I could say a lot of new and exciting things have happened since my last post. It's really been more of the same...chasing my kiddos around, working out, cooking a lot and trying to keep my house from looking like a tornado tore through it. I will say that I am proud of myself for not letting my workouts fall to the wayside. In the past I've started and stopped workout programs too many times to count. Despite how busy the past six months have been I have made time to workout. It feels like an integral part of my life now...not just something I fit in when I can.
I feel like I have definitely made progress when it comes to strength, and I've been eating up a storm. I've really shifted my focus away from how working out and eating healthy make me look. I have never been this happy with my body, so my goals now have more to do with strength than my clothing size. I've found that I love getting stronger. I love the fact that I can eat A LOT. I love the fact that I don't have to do hours of cardio. Lifting weights has changed my outlook on so many things.
With all of that said...I will be posting on a regular basis again! I have some yummy recipes that I am really excited to share with you soon :) Stay tuned!
