Homemade Pizza Sauce

Making pizza sauce at home is too easy!  There's no reason to spend extra money on the pre-made stuff...or end up consuming the extra sodium and calories the pre-made stuff might contain.

1 (6 oz.) Can of Tomato Paste
8 oz. Warm Water
3 Garlic Cloves (minced)
1/2 Tsp Onion Powder
3/4 Tsp Dried Oregano
3/4 Tsp Dried Basil
1/8 Tsp Ground Black Pepper
Tiny dash of Cayenne Pepper (optional)
Pinch of Sea Salt (optional)

Whisk together all ingredients in a small bowl.  Cover and let the flavors meld together for 20-30 minutes.  Spread on pizza dough or pre-made pizza crust.  Top with cheese and toppings of your choice.  Bake according to dough recipe or pre-made crust directions.  Enjoy!

-If you are going to use this recipe for a dipping sauce you'll want to cook it first.  Place all ingredients in a sauce pan.  Bring to a boil.  Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.  This will cook the garlic, help the flavors to blend together and thicken the sauce.
